The Italian heritage of family-owned Suncream Dairies, together with a loyal and hardworking workforce of 50 people, are key factors in the company’s successful development of traditional recipes and modern flavours.

Rebecca Manfredi

Rebecca Manfredi


Rebecca Manfredi took over in 1996 as managing director. The daughter of Domenico Manfredi, Suncream’s founder, Rebecca holds a first class honours degree and has worked for the business for more than 29 years. She is committed to ensuring product quality and consistency, as well as delivering exceptional customer service.

Rebecca has won several awards including the ‘Outstanding Contribution’ Award in the Midlands Family Business Awards, which recognised her contribution to the growth of the family business. She has also been responsible for the total redevelopment of the site and has invested heavily in new plant and equipment to advance process and manufacturing. Rebecca is also a business mentor to the Prince’s Trust and a school governor.


Jordan James

Manufacturing Manager

Jordan has over 22 years’ experience in the food manufacturing industry. He has full responsibility for all Suncream’s operations including manufacturing, process, goods in, planning, maintenance and despatch. He is using his BSc in Business Information Technology to help improve operating efficiency across the site. Jordan is focussed on consistency and quality across all our products and has made considerable capital investment to the plant.

Jo Wood

Office Manager

Jo has worked at Suncream for 24 years. She liaises with all customers and on a day to day basis ensures that their needs are met. She lives and breathes the ethos that ‘the customer comes first’. Jo has an excellent rapport with our customers with many acknowledging her efficiency on our annual customer surveys. She understands that when the sun shines that’s when the product is needed most and will do her utmost to ‘pull out all the stops’ to get ice cream to where it needs to be!

Gillian Graham

Sales Manager

Gillian manages the Suncream sales operation and is responsible for day to day liaison with existing customers (both UK and international), and for developing the business across the wholesale and foodservice sectors. Gillian has over 20 years’ experience working with ice cream in both the wholesaler and foodservice national account sectors. She is totally committed to all customers receiving the best of experience of Suncream that they possibly can and works hard to ensure this! Gill is also responsible for our small but growing team of Field Sales Executives.

Paul Winfield

Quality Manager

Paul, who has a degree in Dairy Science, has worked in the dairy industry since 2002 and brings to Suncream a wealth of industry knowledge gained in both technical and production departments. He has overall responsibility for the quality and technical team along with control of the application and implementation of all relevant food safety and quality systems on site. He is committed to ensuring that the standards are consistently maintained to the highest standard. Paul is also chair of the Midlands and North division of The Society of Dairy Technology.

Dave Ebdon

Warehouse Manager

Dave is in charge of all outside space, cold storage and warehousing, and has worked at Suncream for 14 years. Dave is in charge of the very accurate picking operation.

Stephanie Davies

Field Sales Executive

Stephanie is responsible for new local business in the Midlands area and placing that with our network of distributors – helping to grow sales from the ‘bottom up’. She also manages existing customer accounts and undertakes all exhibitions for ourselves and our customers. Stephanie has over 20 years’ sales experience and has a wide ranging knowledge of the ice cream industry. She holds a BA Honours Degree in Business Studies and is able to advise new food start-ups as well as supporting established foodservice outlets and wholesalers.

Paul Stroud

Site Trainer

Meet our site trainer Paul, who has over 12 years experience at Suncream, many of which he spent as production manager. He is responsible for the training of all employees to our very high standards. Having returned to education and gaining the necessary skills Paul has been able to implement a full training programme for all production, coldstore and warehouse employees. He has also been instrumental in standardising our recruitment process.
